Harley Davidson® has expanded the Dark Custom line up!

(January, 26, 2009)  The Sportster family and the Dark Customs have a new member, the Iron 883. This bike is stripped down,  ripe for your custom creativity, and it pushes the styling of motorcycling minimalism to the edge. Covered in black, from front to back, top to bottom, the Iron 883 comes with attitude built in. The Iron 883 was introduced January, 26th, at the Harley – Davidson® Winter Dealers Meeting in Washington, D.C..

The black powder-coated 883cc Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection Evolution motor, will deliver a broad torque curve and plenty of power in stock form, and yes, it can be bumped up to a 1200cc configuration if you want more of that Harley – Davidson® power. The pipes on the straight cut shorty dual exhaust flow the distinctive Harley – Davidson® V-Twin sound we all love. Rolling down the road on 13 spoke mag wheels, a 19’’ wheel up front, and a 16’’ rear wheel out back, with a 150mm wide tire in place, will give you the responsive handling that the Sportster family bikes are known for. The solo seat sets you in the bike at 25.3 inches off the pavement, and yes, a passenger seat is available for you know who. The rear fender for our Canadian model of the Iron 883 will have the traditional Sportster rear fender and tail light combination.

The Iron 883 has the potential for you to make your styling statement as to what a motorcycle should be, and the Canadian MSRP of $9.560.00, leaves plenty of freedom for your personal touch. The Iron 883, is your ticket to ride.
